"The Only Tech Blog For University Grads"

If you're a college student and aiming your life in the IT field; but still stuck in the loop of competition...?? Then this blog is only for you :)

So, Hey Everyone👋🤞 I'm Sourabh Bhatt 2nd-year student in the department of Mathematics here at Maharaja Agarsen College, University of Delhi. And let's get started -->

Btw, this is my very first blog ever; so I just wanted to be very open as I can

Now as heading toward my career as an aspiring data scientist (software engineering for the whole) I learned this one thing is

In the IT field, we have to keep evolving ourselves.

Obviously, I heard this from seniors who are already in the domain.

But, for many college students, this IT field is completely new. They are lost with the guidance, and the map they should follow along with their graduation. This makes them demotivated and challenging to get ahead from this, but one can do one thing; which is to not worry about it anymore and start hustling and grinding as much as they can.

Now, in this blog, I am writing some key and necessary points that every student of college even graduates peoples must read and implement in their lives. It will help them in deciding the right move in their IT career.

These key points are as follows:

1. DSA EVERY DAY:

As most college students only learn the basics of programming and are left with that knowledge only. This needs to be changed. They should understand the fact that no one can become a good programmer until and unless they actually learn how data is working on the computer. What structure is followed to store the data via some codes, and how to get the maximum use of the computer in the bare minimum time and space?

So, these all can be learned by only learning and practicing Data Structures and Algorithms.

And also if you feel demotivated in learning DSA then write these lines (whichever you like)

Paste this tagline in front of your study table👇🏻

"One question of DSA, Keeps rejection far away"

or

"DSA every day, Keeps rejection far away"

Well in order to get started in DSA you can simply go on youtube and search which one is best for you. Everybody's teaching is good. Its the responsibility of the learner to show the X FACTOR from the inside.

JUST GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

2. DEVELOPMENT + DSA = 100%

image.png

There is nothing hidden from the tech community. Stop asking the question, DSA or DEVELOPMENT?

DSA can only help you in understanding the logic, but it will not give you experience in building stuff. In the end, everybody wants the result, a product that can be shown to the world. Hence, focus on development also with DSA.

BOTH DSA & DEVELOPMENT IS DEMN NECESSARY FOR GETTING AHEAD IN A TECH-DRIVEN SOCIETY

You can start developing in the frontend, backend, machine learning, blockchain, data science, and web3. There is no limit.

Just open the "brain.exe"

Try to sit on as many chairs as you can before leaving your college. It will give you credibility. Trust me.

3. CREATE CONTENT:

You see, the creator economy is booming a lot. So, why not 👉🏻

MAKE HAY WHILE THE SUN SHINES

Well, I'm doing this. At least I'm trying.

You see, it is easy to learn to program and get crores of packages, but it's hard to build the distribution; a massy distribution, which can take you to millions of people and billions of dollars from millions of people. So, this is the time to grow with the algorithms and grow with the creator economy.

Here are a few things you can also do, that I am doing nowadays👇🏻

1. BLOGS:

Start writing blogs on whatever you are learning. This is the best and easy way to get started. As I did today. Just share whatever you learned today with the public. Share it on Twitter, and Linkedin everywhere. Tag those good people like "Kunal Kuswaha", who continuously provide values of ignition.

For example,

Hello all, Today I learned about the positions in CSS. Here are some key learnings...

(and so on)

2. YOUTUBE:

Youtube is a revolutionary platform built to destroy and cure anyone. You have to learn how to build and connect with the real knowledge seekers around the globe by producing content. Understand this phenomenon 👇🏻

CONTENT CREATION IS A POSITIVE SUM GAME. JUST HAVE PATIENCE, like me.

You will grow if you are consistent. Just be your true self.

For example, Today you are participating in a Hackathon, and you formed a team, build the website, and either won or failed the hackathon. But in this, you learned something. Just open the camera and describe your learnings. That's it.

No one is expecting you to be a pro editor or speaker. (at least I convince myself in this way)

Just try to understand this as soon as possible, building a personal brand by writing blogs and creating content around that will help you a lot. At least it is working fine for me.

4. OPEN-SOURCE:

image.png

Our bro, Kunal always believes in contributing to open source projects, which is 100% true.

Just learn DSA and Development up to a decent level and start hunting for open source projects.

Just feel the pain of startups and you will land with tons of contribution work.

(I will add more in this section, as my knowledge expands:) )

5. Personal Projects:

image.png

There is nothing life savior than building personal projects. If you are not interested in open-source or in creating content; then you must have some cool working deployed projects somewhere on the cloudy internet. Where people can see and evaluate your potential.

It's easy to build TIKTOK, it's easy to build INSTAGRAM, but it's hard to maintain the issues.

So make sure your projects are in working condition. Keep updating your best of the best project.

For example, Currently, I'm working on a Machine Learning project which requires everything from web dev to MLOPS. It's hard but it's fun, like really really it's fun. Just feel by yourself.

So, friends and bros, just implement all these. Just try to sit on all these 5 chairs, you have no idea which chair will help you to wear the crown. Just have fun in the process and grow.

These are all the list of 5/5 things I'm doing and learning.

BYE 👋
